Description
... compulsion snapping taut, a conviction shivering down to mingle against open wounds, tempting deeper than the surface and pressing all to rise. Crimson running pretty little rivulets, breaking across the downturn of lips, painting itself a bloodied smile. The breath was gifted with an air of pain tasted, the metallic of red and the bitterness of battle, the losing, yet the won - the cycle of the man to whom this lament belonged. Against the backdrop, there was but time to move, to search amongst the ruins for what he had lost, wearing that hollowed expression. Yet even in that heavy composure, the silence would bear no lies, and shown none for the rest, the shadows pulling long in the lingering purpose of the day. The killjoy but allowed his eyes to look, even if he knew in his mind that what he sought was not there. Such had been taken, claimed, and after it then his step would take him, should he ever wish to take back what was his. With that alone there was that silence again, and with a pained breath, he waited, unprepared, the world singing him his broken bone lament.

The piece is made for a seemingly endless, and thus ongoing, trade between the two, for which has lifted my spirits for the moment.
