Description
... heralded be to the call of existence fighting for control beneath the thinnest surface, masks composed of clever tricks and barely able then to disguise. True natures are left for dead with mouths hung ajar, frothing their need, as the tempo of the bedlam gains a heavy handed beat. Come with me now, the soul is bound, powerless to that broken fool's dance, unknowing of those taken steps staggered in marionette time. Faltered are the figures through each rotation as the one upon the outside looks in with knowing glances as strings overhead are pulled, phantom hands not touching him as wires delved, sew, and pull again. Within this, it is he would is untouched, he who finds the hold, stepping carefully to the side, waiting for each blessed chance, overlooked then now until the end as nonsense words pour from his mouth, dripping falsely from his very tongue. For it is not he who is the good shepherd that those have wished to come. In his pockets he carries silver bullets and money bought from blood. Do I know you? The world might ask, looking into those eyes. With a crooked smile and sparking fire, there is no true reply, but together they are bound by strands tenuous and ever winding, overlooked and unseen by those who know him truly naught. Dance with me, damnation sings, calls out with his very voice - a hand left extended to carry one into that crimson world ...
Featured here is the stranger Peggy, who I have managed to draw for the first time in around four or five years. Usually, he looks a bit different, sporting a gasmask he keeps on nearly all of the time, but for aesthetic purposes, I decided to leave it off here. The man is a sniper, drug maker, and part-time lunatic, though is naturally a lot more sane than he often pretends. Sometime he acquired an enjoyment for messing with people and hasn't been able to let go of that "toast" business yet. The eldest of three brothers, I can't say much about his past, other than the fact that despite his usual docile nature, he has quite the killer side. I admit he is one of my favorites of mine, though incredibly impossible to draw.
Another test in style patience. This one took a little while, though that is mostly because of his face, which got the most attention here. I wanted something a bit simplistic but at the same time detailed enough to warrant being fully rendered. In the end, I ended up playing with the textures and colors quite a lot. I am not yet sure if I actually like the finished result, but so far so good. I am wishing I had spent a bit more time with his clothes, but I have no idea what I would have done. The textures and brushes I used on the background are from my Adv. Graphic Design class.
Enjoy.

I really, really love how this piece came out, I'm really happy to finally see how you render Peggy. As I am sure that I've said before, this is definitely one of my favorite pieces that you have done as of late. His hair looks fantastic and I adore the emphasis given to the green of the highlights and his eyes, and especially the subtle green around such. Your attention to detail always amazes me, especially in your lines. I really love this piece, it is very nice toast. xD
I am excited to see more, as always, of Peggy or whoever you decide to draw next
