The Dead Shall Talk

Description

... lives torn straight from the chest left heart still temorring, hollow for a moment saved, last beat purposeless and fleeting, a gasp bringing crimson parting to the lips, breaking over as death bent to bestow an intimate kiss. Time never stalled, never blinked nor slowed as the show conducted under hellion lights carried on with the end of the fight. No narrow nor offered pause, the acting taking perhaps a frame - another - before moving on. The arch of color against paled sky, the falling of the frame as eyes opened wide, all seeing there to the end, a conclusion drawn like gored lines in the sand, specks and stars collecting. To stare into eyes glassed by mortal hands, to watch the pool form a jagged rorschach test, the body laying crumpled, broken, and bleeding, was to know what had once been there with its meaning. To feel that empty space curdled the sensations, forming the last dying tone of a mourner’s lament. For humanity sank when silence fell, when lives were lost and others wrote stories bathed in macabre lights.

Featured above is "The Woman" - a figure who has been haunting my days as of late, who speaks in riddles and does not seem overly fond of questions. All that can be known is she has many names - Dead Talk, Funeral Speak, Saylaway - all which serve their purpose, wanting or no - ever to be shed like an old coat.

It is safe to say she is the newest edition to my Lives for Hire/Killjoy lineup.

In honest, she reminds me of Lucy - with those riddles, charms, her profession, and even quite a bit of her looks. I am most curious to see how she reveals herself in time.

Nothing too special here, I admit to have been too lazy to figure out a decent background. Oh, dear me, when shall the lazy end?

Enjoy.
